Game Info

Drawn from the Dark is a digital board game — a bag-building, push-your-luck roguelike. You command the knights of Aldbrook against the orc and goblin horde across a campaign of escalating missions.

The round loop

Event — a card or scripted beat, often enemy reinforcements.
Muster — pull stones from your bag and spend them to recruit units, raise buildings, and fuel your hero's abilities.
Battle — both sides act in a single descending-Initiative order (enemy wins ties). Then the next round begins.

Winning & losing

Every mission lists its objectives — defend for N rounds, build the Palisade, destroy the enemy castle, keep a hero alive, and so on. Meet the required ones to win. If your Town HP reaches 0 — or a required objective becomes impossible — the mission is lost.

Carrying over

Your buildings, castle tier, and certain bonus rewards persist into the next mission, so a strong run snowballs. Each hero brings unique abilities and a starting bag.

FAQ

Growing as testers ask — if you're wondering it, chances are someone else is too.

Do I need an account to play?
No — jump straight in. Login is optional.
Does this work on mobile?
Unfortunately not — it's built for desktop/laptop screens. Play on a computer for now.
How do I win a mission?
Meet the mission's required objectives — shown on the briefing screen and the objectives scroll by the Town HP. Some are "survive N rounds", others are build or defeat goals.
What are Dark stones, and what is "busting"?
Dark stones can't be spent on anything. Pull 3 Dark in a single turn and your pool is spent — you lose what's left that Muster. The Monastery's Return Dark purifies one back into the bag.
My Town still had HP but I lost — why?
A required objective became impossible (for example, a unit you had to keep alive was killed or fled), or you reached the round limit on a "build" mission without meeting its goals.
Do my buildings carry to the next mission?
Yes — buildings and castle tier persist, and some bonus objectives grant rewards into the next mission. A clean run compounds.
